What is Luminous Arts?
Luminous Arts is a space where artistry, mysticism, and transformation intersect. What began as artist-led journeys to sacred sites expanded into a global movement of creative pilgrimage, deep artistic practice, and salon-style inquiry. Today, Luminous Arts offers both in-person and online experiences for those who wish to explore the sacred and the unseen through their creative work.
Our Core Offerings

What Makes Luminous Arts Unique?
Created by artists, for artists
When you join us, you gather alongside an itinerant community of painters, dancers, poets, musicians, filmmakers, textile artists, and seekers. Collaboration and creative cross-pollination are at the heart of our work.
Art as a path to self - transformation
Our approach weaves together aesthetic practice, self-inquiry, and devotion—a rare combination that goes beyond traditional art institutions.
Immersive learning
Creative life is not just studied, it is embodied. Our approach prioritizes direct engagement and hands-on experience over a purely intellectual or theoretical focus.
Our Values
Alternative Arts Education – We emphasize play, process, and inquiry as the foundation for meaningful creative work.
Community & Collaboration – True artistry flourishes in dialogue, exchange, and mutual support.
Spiritual Inquiry – Creativity and spirituality are inseparable—we honor the vast traditions that teach us how to experience sublimity, and how to move through the world with devotion, humility, and service.
Authenticity & Empowerment – We partner with local artists, guides, and wisdom keepers to ensure deep, meaningful cultural exchange.
Meet the Founder
Lila Vrindavan is a visual artist, teacher, and mentor whose work bridges the material and the mystical. She founded Luminous Arts as a space for seekers and artists to offer their lives to their art, and their art to the sacred.
Her creative path began with 14 years of Russian classical ballet training before transitioning to visual arts, earning a BFA in Drawing/Painting from Carnegie Mellon University.
Her creative inquiry led her to the study of mysticism, yoga philosophy, Ayurveda, and bhakti (devotion), learning from master teachers for thousands of hours over a decade. She has taught these sciences to hundreds of students across the globe
She brings this deep integration of artistry and spiritual inquiry into all of Luminous Arts' offerings, curating experiences that awaken perception, expand creative practice, and deepen one’s connection to the unseen.
